Amling Studios was started by Chris and Melissa Amling. We wanted a place where we could put our creative ideas into a medium that would be accessible to a world-wide audience, and provide a service at the same time. When we first started out we did a lot of basic HTML sites, heavy on artist vision, lighter on hard coding: but as the years have passed, the HTML came easier and easier, then the CSS, JavaScript, Flash and PHP. Now we know the languages that allow us to express our visions, and still meet the strict standards of today's different web browsers.

Melissa started Amling Studios with her favorite partner in crime, her husband Chris, as a means of doing a job she loves with the one she loves. Melissa took a serious interest in art during a four year art program in high school. In college, she followed her passions to Florence, Italy to study the masters. After college she became swept up into the crazy world of web design. Melissa loves the challenges that each new design presents and is happy to take on any project, big or small.

A story teller at heart, Chris found the Internet to be the perfect place to express his creativity, being able to combine digital art, motion graphics, and video to tell a compelling story. Chris has been a web designer since 2003, learning the basics of HTML and JavaScript before expanding into the more complicated world of PHP and Flash.
